This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. It is a concept project and the company is fictional, but the tests below were run on this site.
Test results, October 28, 2026
| Check | Result |
|---|---|
| axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA, plus best practices) | 0 violations on 11 pages, at phone and desktop sizes |
| axe-core on the quote form, with errors showing and after a successful submit | 0 violations on the quote form with errors showing and after a successful submit, at phone and desktop sizes |
| Lighthouse accessibility (4 pages: home, a service page, quote, about, phone profile) | 100 on every page tested |
| Lighthouse performance | 97 to 100; the home page is the heaviest because of its hero photo |
| Lighthouse best practices | 100 on every page tested |
| Keyboard | Skip link is the first stop and every stop shows a visible focus ring |
| Reflow at 320 and 640 pixels wide | No horizontal scrolling |
| Text spacing | No clipped text |
| Page weight | About 170 KB or less for any page, including photos (served as AVIF or WebP at several sizes) |
| Structure | One h1 per page, no skipped heading levels, every page has a title and description, every image has an alt attribute (empty for decoration) |
The quote form
Every field has a visible label, and required fields are marked in the label text. Fields use the correct autocomplete hints for name, phone, email and ZIP code. If something is missing or wrong, a list of problems appears at the top and keyboard focus moves to it. Each item in the list jumps to its field, and each field shows its own message. Nothing depends on color alone. On this concept site the form sends nothing anywhere.
Images
Photos that add meaning have alternative text, and purely decorative ones have none so screen readers skip them. Images are served in modern formats at several sizes. The photos on this site are computer-generated for the concept. They are not real people, customers or places.
What was fixed during testing
- The radio buttons in the form were 22 pixels wide, under the 24 pixel minimum for WCAG 2.2. They are now 24.
- On the quote form, clicking Send while another field still showed an error made that message disappear, which moved the button and made the click miss. The first click now works.
Not yet tested
- Manual screen reader testing (VoiceOver, NVDA), including the form's error list. This statement will be updated when it is done.
- Lighthouse "SEO" shows 60 to 63, not 100, because the site is deliberately marked
noindexso search engines skip this concept project. The pages still carry business and service structured data to show how a real site would be set up.
Tools: axe-core, Lighthouse 12, and Nest Co.'s own scripted checks.
